Part of this site was developed using the NEXTSTEP operating system and software developed for it by the NeXT community.

Software important to this site supplied by others were:

  • Macromedia Power Applets, used in creating the mouse rollovers on the Table of Contents image map.
  • WebEQ, a Java applet for adding mathematical expressions to WEeb pages in lieu of the oft-promised but yet-to-be-delivered HTML Math standard. (I'm happy someone was willing to code this in Java, let's pray HTML Math eventually arrives as well.)
  • The Gif Construction Set, used in animating my superstring flyby. The original string images were created under NEXTSTEP by SuperDraw 4.0.
